Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for a Direct Hire Advertising Paralegal

Overview: Our client is seeing a FT Direct Hire paralegal with advertising and claims substantiation experience

Company: American home-furnishings company

Experience: 5+ years of in-house or law firm paralegal experience

Location: Corte Madera, CA (ON-SITE)

Responsibilities Include:

• Assist in evaluating and validating product claims for products, including sustainability and environmental claims
• Perform review of advertising copy in all forms of media
• Assist in establishing successful partnerships with product development and product compliance teams to develop claim support
• Assist in monitoring advertising-related legal and regulatory trends impacting products
• Act as principal contact person in claims review and collection of claim substantiation
• Review test reports, test designs and vendor documentation against applicable advertising standards
• Help further implement systems and processes to scale the claims substantiation program
• Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Supervising Attorney or other Company officers

Qualifications Include:

• Minimum of five (5+) years of paralegal experience in law firm or in-house setting in advertising and claims substantiation
• Knowledge of product claims regulations and U.S. compliance landscape
• Willingness and ability to learn and expand skills
• Analytical skills with the ability to think critically
• Strong ability to multitask and ability to meet fast turnaround deadlines
• Strong orientation to detail
