In return, we’ll help you build a career that you can feel passionate about.Job SummaryAssociate Scientist/Scientist (Assay Development) Job Summary We are seeking an Associate Scientist/Scientist for our Antibody Discovery site located in South San Francisco, CA. The successful candidate will work as a part of the Assay Development team to support biochemical/biophysical characterization of antibodies, high throughput hit screening, and assay development on new capabilities. This role will require work primarily in a laboratory setting. You will possess strong interpersonal skills, a highly collaborative work ethic, the ability to adapt to changing needs, and the capacity to multitask to meet key goals. Key technical skills: • Familiarity with bioanalytical methods including ELISA, AlphaLISA, and other binding assays. • Strong analytical capability including data fitting and analysis of real-time kinetics.• Hands-on experience with biosensors such as Octet and Biacore strongly preferred.• Hands-on experience with antibody purification, sandwich binding or other functional assays with antibodies is a plus.• Hands-on experience with running flow cytometry and downstream data analysis (e.g., FlowJo) is a plus.Job QualificationsQualifications: • Bachelor’s or Masters in Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or related fields.• 0-3 years of laboratory experience in biotech/industry strongly preferred. Recent graduates may apply. Possibility of training highly motivated research associates on different high throughput assay development platforms. • Basic understanding of protein-protein interactions and principles of protein biochemistry, and experience handling proteins and antibodies strongly preferred. • Highly motivated with a strong willingness to learn and grow.
