Job Summary

The Manager of Account Management is responsible for leading the Account Management organization through direct reports as well as practicing leadership for all Account Managers in the Company. This position provides expertise, mentorship, strategic direction, and a dedication to quality and best practices to deliver outstanding solutions and flawless execution for Insidesource clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Including but not limited to:

Managerial Responsibilities

  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of direct reports
  • Conduct one on one meetings, performance reviews, and activities regarding raises, bonuses, and disciplinary actions for all direct reports
  • Work with direct reports to establish sales and services goals, forecasting, booking, billing and A/R workflow
  • Assess overall workload and staffing needs for direct reports in collaboration with VP Project Operations and other department leaders such as PM, Design, and Sales Support.
  • Lead Account Management team meetings to share company information and activities and review departmental best practices

Management Practice Leadership

  • Provide vision, motivation, and leadership of Account Management organization
  • Ensure development of top-performing Account Management team through recruiting, training, professional development, and coaching of staff
  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, technical and product knowledge, and customer business requirements to establish trust, provide leadership and build relationships with customers and project stakeholders
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, department managers, and corporate practice leaders on the development and implementation of best practices
  • Participate in Practice Leader forum to develop and implement departmental and cross-functional goals and objectives
  • Provide thought leadership across branches via branch and company meetings
  • Develop key account strategic plans to increase revenue and work with Account Managers and clients to execute plans
  • Develop reporting and value-added programs for key accounts
  • Engage with key client stakeholders to enhance and expand product and service offerings
  • Develop and implement new sales tools, Learning and Development programs, and technology platforms
  • Partner with New Business Development to develop response strategy for project opportunities and RFP’s as needed
  • Follow company established requirements for process, protocols, and cross-functional communication
  • Adhere to the responsible use of technology equipment and programs
  • Maintain a commitment to a high level of quality and integrity in our operating systems
  • Participate in Departmental, Branch and All Company meetings and other key leadership meetings as required

Supervisory Responsibilities

Account Managers in our San Francisco, San Carlos, and San Jose branch offices

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn and master dealership software applications

Experience/Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Contract furniture industry experience required
  • Sales and Account Management experience required
  • Management and supervisory experience required
