About the Role:

Company is seeking a passionate, motivating, forward thinking leader to drive delivery of a project portfolio for Enterprise Systems and Operations. The Director will report to the SVP of Technology and will drive delivery of IT projects for Supply Chain, Merchandising, Finance, HR and Operations and Infrastructure. This role will manage a team of FTE and Contractor Program and Project Managers. Responsibilities include:

  • IT PMO Governance '" own and partner with other PMO Delivery and technology directors
  • IT Financial Governance '" complete Cap/Ex and Op/Ex for Company tech budgets
  • PMO Operations '" e.g. contractor time tracking etc.
  • Portfolio Delivery for Enterprise Systems

What you 'll be doing:

  • Facilitates among the VPs and Directors a consensus around the mission and vision of the PMO organization who can demand an Agile project management-oriented culture and mindset
  • Engages senior leadership and business partners to define the Technology Roadmap
  • Leads the identification and implementation of project management processes, methods, tools, guidelines and standards in order to support all project teams and stakeholders to ensure high probability of successful project delivery
  • Lead complex programs/projects requiring senior leadership
  • Lead and direct Project Manager(s) to deliver portfolio project deliverables and documented scope on time and within approved budget
  • Project Portfolio, budget and resource management.

You 're the ideal candidate if you possess:

  • Fifteen or more years of experience in technology (retail a plus)
  • Seven or more years of leadership responsibility with the ability to develop and communicate the PMO vision and inspire / motivate PMO staff
  • Demonstrated experience in leading diverse teams
  • Strong project financial acumen, experience managing projects/operating budgets
  • Experience with one or more project management methodologies; successful use of Agile in multiple environments and portfolio delivery
  • Program Management skills and experience, plus significant knowledge of project/demand planning tools with evidence of practical application (e.g. Innotas, Planview or the like)
  • A distinctive blend of business, IT, financial and communication skills
  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources many not be in direct control of this role
  • Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills
  • Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies and how other enterprises are employing them to drive digital business, and how they may be applied to the enterprise to drive digital business
  • Bachelor 's in Technology or Business related fields
