The Hampton by Hilton located in Daly City has an immediate opening for a part-time Houseperson. The position of Houseperson works inside and outside of the hotel in the common areas to ensure cleanliness of the property, although there may be times that require work in guest rooms and meeting rooms. This position may also clean rooms (Room Attendant) as needed. The cleanliness of the hotel is a key to meeting our hotel brand quality and guest standards. Thus, attention to every job detail is very important to the success of the hotel and achieving and exceeding job performance requirements. Under general supervision performs custodial duties such as vacuuming, dusting, carpet steam cleaning, window cleaning, removing trash, and handling minor maintenance. The Houseperson washes, dries and folds guestroom linen and stocks Room Attendant carts as needed. The Houseperson is also required to set and breakdown meeting rooms for scheduled events. The Houseperson is helpful and friendly to guests and coworkers. This position is required work days or evenings, weekends and holidays during your regular scheduled days.

JOB QUALIFICATION

1). Basic reading and writing.

2). Physical ability to perform essential functions of job.

3). To be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently.

4). To be able to climb up and down elevated surfaces frequently.

5). Ability to kneel, stoop and bend frequently throughout shift.

6). Ability to communicate to coworkers, supervisors and guests.

7). Ability to follow instructions.

8). Ability to be cooperative with coworkers and supervisor.

9). Ability to see for cleanliness and safety reasons.

10). While performing duties of this job, the employee will be regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk and hear.

Specific vision abilities required by this include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
