In this role for a healthcare solutions company, the HL7 programmer analyst will work with internal teams and clients to implement new products and workflow solutions. For example, if a client is doing a lot of manual data entry, with different documents from various providers; they create a solution that accepts and structures multiple sources of data and makes it into a usable workflow that allows them to check insurance, benefits, and other information through EHR systems.

In this role, the HL7 programmer analyst needs to be technical enough to write a feed, and program an interface in Mirth; as well as managing the messages. The HL7 programmer analyst also needs to be functional enough to be client facing; able to gather requirements, collaborate with other developers and analysts, and able to create technical and functional spec documents.

The ideal candidate will be a HL7 expert with knowledge of how health organization workflow works; able to gather requirements, develop customizations that the clients need, and integrate it with various EHR systems.
