They are looking for a Manufacturing Technician Lead to be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, calibrating, and modifying electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.

  • Implement new production line and robotic processes including equipment definition, design, build instructions, maintenance instruction, and inventory control
  • Continuously improve team processes and workflows, striving for better traceability, quality, and efficiency
  • Drive root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment and system quality or technical issues and define steps for resolution
  • Mentor, train, and bring up new technicians; prioritize team and individual professional development
  • Contribute to design for service initiatives
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering on diagnostic process and tools
  • Develop strong partnership with Quality Control
  • Develop corrective action documentation and communicate broadly
  • Develop HQ to Field communication channels and support structure
  • Become the expert on technical diagnostics, supporting the field remotely, and become the bridge to engineering feedback
  • Manage the plant science lab spaces and maintain an organized, safe, clean, and healthy work environment
  • Observe and enforce all safety standards. Drive a culture of safety, risk management, and actively strive to prevent accidents and injuries



  • AS/BS in Engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years technical experience in manufacturing, hardware, robotics, or CEA agriculture industries
  • 3+ years experience as a technical people manager or similar management position
  • Demonstrated ability to use general electrical, assembly, and diagnostic tools
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems
  • Ability to thrive in a cooperative, rapidly changing team setting with aggressive goals and challenging timelines
  • Proven track record showing a strong background with emphasis on safety, quality of work, and technical aptitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills


Other preferred qualifications:

  • Interest in the farming, food, and robotics industries and love the fun of the startup environment and its culture
  • Experience with indoor farming, greenhouse operations, manufacturing operations, and food safety a plus
  • Basic understanding of PLC ladder logic
  • Forklift Experience
