We are seeking a Marketing Manager to serve as a leader in US HCP marketing across the FreeStyle Libre product portfolio. Key responsibilities include: strategic planning and building business capability across traditional, digital and clinical channels, support of marketing and sales operations, leading business analytics and market intelligence and advocating for the strategic vision of the General Manager and Marketing Director across channel partners. This position will work in our Alameda, CA Headquarters.


Strategic Planning and Business Capability Development

  • Work collaboratively across channel teams tracking growth initiatives and ensuring alignment with strategic priorities

  • Lead the annual strategic and tactical planning process for HCP marketing in close coordination across digital and clinical marketing channels; generate innovative ideas on how to create growth and value across the portfolio

  • Act as a point of contact for strategic initiatives representing the point of view as Chief of Staff for the General Manager and Marketing Director providing advice, leadership, and/or support, as required (e.g., Growth/Demand Generation Strategy, Sales Force Alignment, Trainings, Events et al.)

  • Content/slide creation to frame answers to key business questions and strategic vision

  • Identify, drive, and implement process improvements

Commercial Operations and Program Management

  • Work with cross channel teams to develop/enhance and deploy strategies, processes and systems to support commercial success (e.g., sample forecasting, sales force targeting, sales force incentive compensation, sales force size/alignment, promotional resource optimization, pricing framework

  • Scope, track and manage key programs across the brand (e.g., sample program)

Business Analytics and Market Intelligence

  • Lead the monitoring of the external environment, identifying strategic opportunities and competitive threats and proactively planning for potential impact on business (e.g., translate opportunities into actions; propose actions to neutralize threats)

  • Identify key business questions/issues, formulate hypotheses, collect qualitative and quantitative data necessary to evaluate the hypotheses, perform analysis and summarize conclusions/ recommendations with minimal guidance

  • Partner with Global Market Research to define research priorities that will yield actionable insights that help shape strategic direction

  • Perform complex business and financial analysis (e.g., customer segmentation, marketing ROI, customer promotion responsiveness, etc.) that yields actionable insights that increase market share, sales and margin

  • Develop and optimize appropriate performance metrics and dashboards; produce monthly US KPI Dashboard

  • Drive the forecasting process for HCP Marketing (e.g., Rolling 4Q LBE) for US in partnership with Finance


  • Supervise and mentor staff, proactively supporting their professional development

  • Champion culture and change management initiatives

  • Engage and manage external consultants and agencies as appropriate

  • Participate in sales meetings, training, and industry trade shows

  • Ability to prioritize, frame the ambiguous, and act with a sense of urgency

  • Adhere to all compliance and regulations



  • Bachelors Degree

  • Self-starter that is assertive, possesses a high degree of self-confidence and intellectual curiosity, and demonstrates good executive presence.    

  • Proven ability to identify/define business questions and issues and develop strategic, analytical and financial frameworks to conduct analysis.    

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.    

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently under aggressive timelines in a dynamic environment.

  • Comfortable working across functional areas (ex. R&D, Regulatory, Operations, etc.) and at varying levels of the organization.    

  • Previous experience with product development (preferably in a technology-driven business), marketing strategy, market research, business development and international business.     

  • Six years marketing experience with a minimum of four years in a commercial role including, product marketing.


  • MBA or alternative advanced degree
