Adecco Medical & Science is hiring for a " Medical Assistant-Occupational health center" for one of our leading clients in healthcare Industry in Palo Alto,CA

This MA will be expecetd to take measurements and d N-95 Mask fittings for employees at teh Occupational health center.

Title: Medical Assistant

Contract- 13 weeks assignment (can get extended)

Time: 8:30AM- 5:00PM (Monday- Friday)

Pay Rate: $24.40/ Hr- $27.32/ Hr ( Depends on experience)

Duration: 2-3 Months

Job Summary:
- This Medical Assistant will be specifically helping with N-95 Mask fittings
- Help take measurements during mask fitting for the employees at the Occupational health center
- Checking in and checking out patients , scheduling appointments, use intrenal tools for dropping messages to patients regarding appointments
-The primary responsibility of the Medical Assistant is to assist clinic providers to ensure efficient patient flow and maintain quality care. -
-The Medical Assistant carries out clinician orders and performs/assists with patient care procedures and treatments.
-The clinical duties of the Medical Assistant are performed under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and/or supervising nurse practitioner or physician.

Qualifications:
-High school graduate or equivalent required.
-Completion of all requirements in a recognized Medical Assisting training program or completion of the minimal training requirements as outlined in Section 1366 of the Business and Professions Code required.
-Knowledge of medical terminology required. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of clinic staff and public required.
-Ability to work independently as well as an integral part of the patient care team is required.
-One to two years prior experience as a MA preferred.

Reports to: Clinic Manager and supervised by the Clerical Lead. Clinical functions of the MA are supervised by a designated licensed person. Frequent contacts: Patients, Ancillary Services Personnel, Physicians, Third Party Payers, Physician's office staff.

Qualifications:
-Knowledge of medical terminology, required.
-Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding and billing regulations, preferred.
-Completion of all requirements in a recognized Medical Assistant training program or completion of the minimal training requirements as outlined in Section 1366 of the Business and Professions Code required.
-One to two years prior experience as a Medical Assistant preferred. High school diploma or equivalent, required.
-Post-High School course work related to Front Office functions, preferred.
-One year work experience, required; experience in a Medical office, preferred.
-Completion of SHS Internship may be substituted for work experience requirement or Bachelors degree may be substituted for work experience requirement. Skill using keyboard and mouse for computer interface, required.

Abilities:
-Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of clinic staff and public required.
-Ability to work independently as well as an integral part of the patient care team is required.
-Ability to solve problems, and manage multiple priorities.

Licenses/Certifications:
-Current CPR required within three months of hire.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
-The work involves considerable physical exertion such as frequent lifting of patients and equipment, bending and stooping, and walking. The work environment involves high risks with exposure to potentially dangerous situations or unusual environmental stress which require a range of safety and other precautions, where conditions cannot be controlled. Category I: There is risk of exposure to blood borne pathogens. Tasks involve exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues.
