    • Paralegal (Commercial Litigation) Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform full range of litigation paralegal tasks from case inception through discovery process, trial, post-trial proceedings and case closure.
  • Examine, organize, summarize and analyze information relating to discrete projects or issues of a case.
  • Investigate factual questions using local libraries, internet and/or other outside sources.
  • Assist in the collection and organization of information relevant to potential deponents; summarize deposition transcripts; and maintain deposition library.
  • File pleadings and other documents in both hard and electronic copy and research and obtain data from the Courthouse files.
  • Prepare and coordinate final exhibits for trial, help as needed during trial.

    • Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of recent experience working in a litigation legal department of medium to large firm.
  • Paralegal certification, preferred.
  • California local and Federal courts experience required.
  • Experience with electronic case filings in various jurisdictions. 
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.
  • Experience with Litigation related software programs such as Concordance, Summation, MS Access, Ringtail, Casemap, Sancation, Trial Director, Lexis and Westlaw.
  • Strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (both oral and written) with a varied audience, including all levels of firm members, vendors, and clients.
  • A highly professional and positive demeanor and demonstrated work ethic including the willingness to take on extra tasks and responsibilities (including overtime) to meet client/firm needs.
