Were looking for a motivated and experienced product manager to join the Autodesk Education Experiences (AEX) team and help define the future of our offerings for education customers. AEX exists to establish Autodesk as a trusted partner for ongoing job readiness for roles in design and make.

The AEX Product Operations and Customer Success team is responsible for ensuring that education customers have easy access to Autodesk products and services.

The team is expanding and seeks a Product Manager, Education Subscription to help research, manage, and prioritize education subscription requirements, and to partner with other teams across the company to bring new features and offerings to market.

Autodesk has invested in education by providing free access to our commercial products, content, and tools that are designed to inspire and teach students and educators. Students are our future commercial customers. Therefore, it is critical that their first experience with Autodesk is a positive one.

The Product Manager, Education Subscription will have input in helping to develop the multi-year subscription product roadmap and vision. They will help define customer requirements based on direct customer feedback and insights provided via multiple internal & external channels.

Product Managers in our organization sit at the intersection of software development, design, and business strategy. We shape high-level product goals but also get our hands dirty. On an average day, you might pitch a concept to senior leadership, create a launch plan with marketing, work with designers and researchers to conduct user interviews or concept tests, prototype a new feature, iterate on a spec, or analyze usage data. We have ultimate responsibility for understanding our client needs, influencing business strategy, feature specification, and working with engineering to develop our software.

This position sits within our Education GTM team and does not have direct responsibility for development/engineering backlog prioritization. Ability to influence, negotiate and champion the needs of the customer is of paramount importance.

  • Perform ongoing customer outreach in partnership with teammates

  • Manage and collect centralized customer insights

  • Help manage the education teams product feature backlog and align priorities with other product management teams and AEX/company goals

  • Help streamline and define new product experiences for our education customers

  • Champion the needs of schools/universities, educators, and students, inside and beyond the classroom

  • Use data, customer, and competitive insights, and industry best practices to identify opportunities to create innovative capabilities and compelling user experiences

  • Understand and manage metrics to analyze the impact of activities and projects, and refine as needed to create an environment of continuous learning and improvement

  • Partner with marketing, documentation, support, and other teams to ensure product benefits are communicated to customers

  • Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations that engage both internal and external audiences

  • Execute on strategy as needed to meet AEX and company goals

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years in a product manager role in a tech, EdTech, or SaaS company

  • Familiarity with product management best practices

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Consistent track record in working cross-functionally to deliver cloud-based software and/or services

  • Track record of driving initiatives from conception to completion, working closely with designers and engineers

  • Ability to form and maintain close partnerships and relationships with other product stakeholders, as well as excellent communication skills

  • Ability to present complex ideas clearly and to rally people around a vision

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with both local and remote teams

  • Ability to work in a team setting and/or independently as needed; self-starter

  • Ability to rapidly prioritize and continually learn/adapt to changing circumstances

  • Highly enthusiastic, creative, with an entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to innovate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Domain expertise involving educational software, SaaS, LMS platforms, and/or teaching

  • Knowledge of the U.S. and/or global education landscape (K-12, post-secondary, tertiary, vocational schools, etc.)

  • Experience with or knowledge of Autodesk products and the industries we serve

Salary Midpoint for this Position (Colorado): $90k - $108k
