The Deamer Group is currently in search of a Program Coordinator for our non-profit client in San Francisco. If you are compassionate and driven to help others, then we would like to speak with you! Position Summary:
The Program Coordinator reports to the Director of Finance and Operations. They provide oversight of general administrative functions for Support for Families and are a vital member of our team. The Program Coordinator manages office and kitchen supplies and equipment, oversee logistics and maintains data as well as supports the communication department. They will be exposed to confidential information and must maintain a high level of confidentiality. The Program coordinator must be comfortable working with a diverse population.
Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide coverage of reception area and phones.
  • Respond to emails, mail and fax correspondence.
  • Provide data entry maintaining spreadsheets, forms and filing systems.
  • Assist with brochures, flyers, newsletters and training material.
  • Assemble and distribute information packets.
  • Provide Zoom and webinar support.
  • Manage and provide logistics for in person events including setup and take down.
  • Oversees office and organization logistics including the reception area, information racks, conference and storage rooms, staff mailboxes and kitchen area.
  • Assist with translation and interpretation process.
  • Provide EMMA emailing and website updates.
  • Ensure office and kitchen equipment are maintained and working.
  •  Coordinate meetings and workshops with internal staff and representatives from external organizations.
  •  Prepare and disseminate communication with workshop participants; coordinate space reservation; event calendar oversight and maintenance; schedule interpreters; equipment reservation; room set up for events.
  •  Document program evaluations, record event registration, and attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Client Summary:
Support for Families of Children with Disabilities is a nonprofit organization founded in 1982. Its mission is to provide support for families of children with disabilities and other special health care needs. The organization supports through partnership, resource development, education, and advocacy. By providing support to families and the professionals who support them they attempt to ensure well-being through informed decision making.

  •  Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, oral and written.
  •  Prior experience in program and event coordination--preferably in a non-profit institutional or educational setting.
  • Strong project management skills: ability to balance multiple priorities and projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to discern when to act independently or seek out appropriate help.
  • Accurate, timely, and consistent in performance of duties with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to adopt, refine, and assist in the development of administrative and program systems and policies.
  • High level of computer literacy and comfort using new software and equipment if needed. Microsoft Word and Excel required; salesforce, Zoom, Adobe Acrobat, Publisher and Canva competency preferred.
  • Experience working with a program team.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience working with staff and clients of diverse cultures and    backgrounds.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Chinese a plus.
