Description
- The role will lead the transition of Global Transportation from a shared service to a 4PL management situation.
- Coordinate with corporate team to identify all lanes and contracts that need to be transitioned.
- Lead for Global Transportation in our separation project and participate on project calls.
- Capture all systems used to support Global Transportation.
- Identify process for managing vendors and how they are measured.
- Identify all lanes and spend for each site (MFG and DC’s).
- Review current carrier contracts pertaining to the Sensor Matic lanes and identify if any gaps.
- Identify current FAK’s and other optimized strategies that need to be documented.
- Identify cost per order by marrying the spend data with the system shipment data, need to have more granularity with existing data.
- Identify any current gaps in process for transportation with regards to Incoterms.
- Understand incoterm agreements and ensure correct processes were/are captured at each site.
- Identify process updating carriers for sites when selected.
- Identify process to allow customer carriers vs Sensor Matic carriers.
- Identify process for charging customers freight when using Sensor Matic carriers.
- Identify process for routing guide and maintenance.
- Help with RFQ process to ensure requirements captured and proper vendors participate in RFQ.
- Manage transition to the 4PL to ensure execution.
