The Digital Technology and Innovation group supports the Corporate Strategy, Digital Platform & Innovation Business. Together they work closely to continue evolving Wells Fargo's digital platforms and enhance integration of the innovation pipeline into our customer-facing capabilities.

Gateway is an enterprise open banking channel for Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Webhooks and Software Development Kits (SDKs), to make it easy and fast for business customers to integrate with Wells Fargo products and services from within their digital environments. The technology organization to support this channel includes multiple agile scrum teams: API, SDK, Platform and Developer Portal. 

We are looking for a talented and passionate software engineer to support the API and Webhook initiatives within Gateway. This person would partner with Gateway Product, LOB, architecture, technology and support teams to build secure and scalable solutions that meet our customer needs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work and Partner with technology and business teams to design and build APIs per Gateway and enterprise risk standards.
  • Work in Agile/Scrum development environment to deliver scalable, quality API product in a timely manner.
  • Work on initiatives like resiliency, performance improvement, security remediation, automation, code quality improvement etc that take a true end-to-end focus on ensuring that APIs are performing as expected.
  • Fostering a culture of innovation and high quality software engineering practices.
  • Providing technical mentorship and guidance to junior staff.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of JavaEE experience
  • 5 + years of JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) development experience
  • 3+ years of microservices development experience
  • 1+ year of Google Apigee experience
  • 4+ years of Jenkins experience
  • 4+ years of GitHub experience
  • 4+ years of Agile experience
  • 4+ years of JIRA experience
  • 4+ years of Artifactory experience
  • 3+ years of experience with Application performance, monitoring and optimization using Blazemeter, JMeter, Splunk and AppDynamics
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology

Desired Qualifications

  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of security technologies and concepts including identity management, single sign on, directory services, role based access control, cryptographic algorithms, mutual authentication and certificate management
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology testing: creation of test scripts to ensure comprehensive test coverage of deliverables
  • Knowledge and understanding of DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing)
  • 4+ years of SAST (Static Analysis Software Testing) experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of test driven application development

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent knowledge of testing frameworks like Junit, Mockito.
  • Experience in securing APIs using OAuth, SAML, Open ID Connect and etc.
  • Strong knowledge in API Modelling languages like OpenAPI, RAML

Job Expectations

  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
