Facebook’s Enterprise Engineering Operations team is looking to hire a Technical Domain Manager, Cellular Technology on the TechOps Cellular team focused on managing the first private internal network including on net and internal wireless cellular network for Facebook employees. This is a new and evolving space, so the candidate needs to be flexible and be able to pivot based on the scale and scope of increasing initiatives under this service. Suggestion: This role will have the responsibility to build relationships and processes while ensuring success during the evaluation, scoping, solutioning, execution and sustaining of this service that allows Facebook to control our own traffic 100% end-to-end.
  • Lead and drive the implementation of cellular networks into Facebook Operations globally
  • Manage the architecture, operations and long term strategy for the technology plan including integration support
  • Review detailed business requirements by engaging cross functional teams to capture clear functional design artifacts using techniques like use cases, data diagrams and process flow diagrams
  • Ensure propagation modeling meets coverage requirements in collaboration with AHJ/MNOs
  • Define operational criticality, Performance/Coverage requirements, SLA for service and sparing for Cellular, FacOps/Security, Time synchronization system (NTP), and PTP
  • Create and support service-level metrics, analyzing data to identify trends, propose strong business cases for initiatives, and report on operations performance
  • Identify operational pain points and opportunities to improve business practices, analyze problems and devise solutions to drive efficiency for the business
  • Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery
  • Ensure the successful implementation of these systems on time, within budget
  • Process necessary contract agreements for carriers and other partners
  • Submit regular reports on progress
  • Support the alignment of various verticals across stakeholders, as well as external partners to achieve organizational-level goals
  • B.S. in an operational discipline or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years experience in Program Management
  • 4+ years experience with Network administration, enterprise networks, infrastructure, and/or cloud services
  • 2+ years experience in Information Technology in large organizations
  • 1+ years experience interfacing with account managers for major wireless telecom companies
  • Strong program management skills including communication, prioritization, risk management
  • Understanding of RF propagation and RF principles
  • Knowledge of CBRS and DAS technologies and solutions
  • Experience managing both internal and external installation resources and working cooperatively with in-house engineering personnel
  • Experience interfacing with account managers for major wireless telecom companies
  • Experience in new build construction projects as well as tenant improvements
  • Demonstrated history of solving at-scale problems across multiple organizations
