THE ROLE

The company is seeking a Vice President, Ignite Student & Fellow Impact to help design, pilot and expand our student and fellow experience. The new Ignite Fellowship team is a small incubation research & design team that will strengthen our programmatic offerings, offer direct training, support regional operations and reduce expenses overtime through growth and economies of scale. In this role you will manage a small team who will design and execute programmatic and operational support for expansion of the Ignite Fellowship to students and schools across Company 's partner regions. We are looking for you if you are deeply centered in the student experience, have a track record of building new partnerships internally and externally, outstanding strategy and project management capacity, experience setting the vision and direction for a team and investing others in the role they can play in bringing that vision to life. We are looking for an experienced culture leader and manager to strengthen partnerships in 6-10 regions by going deeper with prioritized school partners within those communities. Our team culture will be entrepreneurial and innovative creating programmatic offerings while also executing on aspects of the Ignite Fellowship pilot we want to expand. The goal is to keep the Ignite Fellow team 's operations and resources smooth and streamlined in order to give lift and maximum potential to our fellows, teammates, partners, contractors, network members, youth leaders, etc.

THE PERSON

Your time will be spent accordingly, accomplishing:

Ignite Program Design, Execution, Management and Ongoing Learning and Development (70%)

  • Design 12 week student experience, prioritizing wellness and academic outcomeso Develop & set student learning and well indicators; partner with OWLS and regional teams to build and understand ongoing learning tools/indicators
  • o Gain insight and knowledge around SEL, what students want, what the best practices are and collaborate on integrating all of these things into a programmatic point of view in relation to students, fellows and their experience
  • o Identify, design and execute peak moments for students
  • o Determine and build any necessary student facing tools
  • o Possibly partner with youth fellows to ensure the programmatic design is rooted in student voice/aspirations
  • Set vision and scope for Ignite Fellows & Trainer onboarding and ongoing professional development relative to the student experience & programmatic success (in partnership with Director of Recruitment program design for fellows)o Develop performance measures for fellowship across participating regions
  • o Identify, design and lead peak moments for fellows (and potentially trainers and regional team members)
  • o Design and lead centralized fellowship and trainer onboarding
  • o Work in partnership with regional teams to set vision and direction for local onboarding, offering a 'shell ' they can take and adapt
  • Design and lead professional development for participating regional fellowship team members to ensure standardized implementation balanced with differentiation across Fellowship pilot regionso Identify and steward key relationships with Company staff, community partners, and fellowship hosts
  • o Analyze trends across participating teams to assess program effectiveness and strategy using school visits, community interviews, solution validation, focus groups, fellow and student survey results etc.
  • Lead and facilitate collaboration and design sessions with a cohort of fellows, along with internal and external partners, and support skill and knowledge building around leadership, diversity, critical thinking, design thinking, innovation, executive communication, pitching, and problem solving
  • Set vision for Ignite Fellowship culture and Fellow experience with each participating pilot region
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly progress reports aligned to program KPIs

Managing Internal Program Strategy and Partnerships (30%)

  • Develop a partners and supporters across national functional teams to support the Ignite Fellowship goals, priorities, and outcomes
  • Manage Ignite Fellowship team and Fellow calls focused on gathering insights on determining the enabling factors local teams establish to quickly respond to student and school needs in the moment and with deep partnership with schools.
  • Design process for cross functional and logistical support: school partner MOUs, participant surveys, fingerprint clearance cards, etc.
  • Produce various communications to Ignite Fellows, TFA staff, and network partners

THE MUST HAVES

Prior Experience

  • 8 + years of management experience preferred
  • 8+ years coaching and developing teachers required
  • Previous experiencing working as advisor or partner with Company teams preferred
  • Setting culture vision and strategy for a team
  • Experience developing learning strategy for teachers and coaches with various content-area specialities and experience
  • Developing metrics to assess progress and success
  • A track record of managing multiple projects to completion (and, therein, managing multiple key stakeholders and resources in the process)

Skills

  • Data analytical skills using Excel and strong proficiency using PowerPoint to present information to a range of stakeholders
