Summary 

The VP of Technology is one of our most exciting positions at COMPANY, and on the front lines of decision making alongside the Executive Leadership team. You will be responsible for managing an IT department, defining our technological operating processes, and quantifying quality metrics and controls and the support systems of our company. This role will oversee and execute both short and long-term technology, information security, and innovation plans to enable COMPANY to maximize the potential of solutions and resources to meet an ever-changing healthcare industry.

Responsibilities 

  • You must be able to execute. Period. 
  • Develop IT strategy across the business to ensure the direction aligns with the company’s strategic priorities 
  • Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to exploit new technologies to support the company objectives 
  • Develop and implement an IT governance framework, policies, procedure, standards, and guidelines 
  • Ability to think strategically, anticipate future risks and trends, and incorporate them into the organizational plan 
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of our IT team 
  • Collaborate with and present global updates to the Leadership team 
  • Ensure various processes and best practices are followed throughout the IT department 
  • Assist in setting technologically focused operational goals and manage the organization based on metrics and data to meet and exceed those goals 
  • You must be data-driven and highly capable in managing metrics and data 
  • You must have a deep understanding of technology and engineering processes

Requirements 

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field 
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in managing a team 
  • Minimum of five years of experience in an executive leadership position 
  • Minimum 8 years of total software industry experience, including hands-on development and/or team management 
  • Possesses knowledge of website design with either Wix or WordPress 
  • Possesses knowledge of platform integration with Virtual Networks 
  • Experience in OOP (e.g. Java, Python, C#), full-stack web development (AJAX, JavaScript, HTML, CSS), and designing highly scalable systems 
  • Full lifecycle software project management experience, from inception to deployment and operation 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with JIRA & Confluence
