A medium sized hospital in a family friendly community in the East Bay is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for their high acuity Level III NICU. This hospital has 200 patient beds and the 20-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is one of the highest acuity NICUs in the region.
The NICU Assistant Nurse Manager will enjoy the balance of this position. The RN ANM works a convenient 12-hour shift, three days per week. While still part of the unit leadership team, the NICU RN Assistant Nurse Manager can still maintain great work / life balance. This NICU leadership team is collaborative and patient focused. Moreover, they value internal communication and are always willing to balance each other’s workloads and flex schedules when needed.
This hospital is part of a well-known healthcare system that provide tremendous internal structure and support. With multiple NICU Assistant Nurse Managers, the Unit is able to operate efficiently with each person having delegated responsibilities. The NICU ANM will manage day to day clinical operations including staffing, practice standards and quality improvement initiatives. The NICU Assistant Nurse Manager will work with department Educators and Management to implement action plans to improve staff development if needed. Many of the highly competent staff in this unit have their RNC-NIC credentials and have been with this hospital for 4+ years.
