Healthcare Statistical Research Analyst

This position is responsible for extracting data, cleansing data, analysis of data, and data management for report development for Premier pharmaceutical/medical device clients, other external clients (government, academic organizations, and research organizations) and for internal clients. In addition this position implements analytical strategies to support data analysis of the Healthcare Database (PHD) for both internal and external clients, and assists Premier researchers in developing methods to provide methodologically sound solutions to answer client questions. This role also provides the quality assurance review of the data and reports. The person in this position must have the ability to manipulate data and perform analyses using programs such as SAS and SQL. This position functions internally in collaboration with PRS Principal Research Scientists, PRS Research Analysts, PRS Data Research and Analytics Manager, Market Development Management, Product Management, Informatics IT, Data Warehouse team, and other stakeholders to ensure required deliverables are met. This role includes analytic independent thinking while performing more complex research projects with less supervision than the Associate Research Analyst.

Strong experience in SQL is 100% required , some R experience is required and previous SAS is required with a background healthcare research .

100% remote but must work EST time zone. The candidate will use Teradata and SQL to pull data out then create variable and create analytics file. The candidate must have advanced statistical background and will work closely with data scientist and other statistical researchers.

Research and analysis experience; experience using large, complex medical data; intermediate to advanced level of Structured Query Language (SQL) programming and other data querying tools SQL; Intermediate to advanced level of SAS programming techniques (BASE.GRAPH/MACRO)

Run and deliver data extracts including custom data extracts from the data base(s): NETEZZA (warehouse) etc. Develop UNIX and PC Programs using SAS and SQL for new and ongoing projects . Review and clean data to create appropriate analytical files Produce data tables and reports for clients for internal customers and external customers (e.g., pharmaceutical manufacturers, medical device manufacturers, the government, hospitals).From a programming perspective, provide detailed review and analysis that includes reviewing code, warehouse loads, mappings, etc. Conduct quality assurance reviews, comparing data to other benchmarks and data releases Provide status updates to internal and external stakeholders as needed Run ad-hoc analyses Implement departmental “best practices” regarding all SAS programming techniques, including SAS macros, functions, and reporting functions

Ability to apply complex algorithms for the data architecture- carrying out the tasks NOT being an architect R is a popular open-source environment for statistical analysis. Combining R with Tableau gives you the ability to bring deep statistical analysis into a drag-and-drop visual analytics environment.

Required Skills:

· Bachelor degree

· SQL

Table Maker

· SAAS

· At least 4 years working experience in data analytics, statistics or quantitative analysis

· Proven experience in designing and developing data visualization tools

· Good experience with various data analytic tools such as R, SAS, and Python

· Good communicator with strong written and oral communication skills

· Product development and/or sales support experience preferred

· Healthcare , Pharma , Hospital experience is required
