Description

The Intermediate Interior Designer is responsible for assisting in delivering all design requirements. They contribute to the team with their exceptional design skills, seasoned background in interior design and their innovative design concepts. The Intermediate Interior Designer is an integral part of the design team who coordinates the administration, production and execution of design projects alongside the Principal and Senior Designer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Work closely with the Senior Interior Designers and Principal on all design projects from concept to completion
  • Provide design and documentation support and leadership on projects of various sizes and complexities
  • Advanced CAD skills
  • Advanced knowledge of space planning
  • Interior architecture detailing skills
  • Working knowledge of CD’s and procedures
  • Working knowledge of building systems, codes, and construction administration
  • Develop presentations, selection palettes, and specifications
  • Extensive knowledge of furnishings and finishes
  • Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills, Photoshop, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of specification software, Studio Designer
  • Assist with purchasing and expediting when needed 
  • Assist the Principal in the management of all projects and its subs
  • Participate in project scope and fee’s estimation
  • Responsible for FF&E budget development and tracking
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of project requirements and details
  • Communicate with clients, contractors, consultants and internal team
  • Ability to manage and lead junior staff

Qualifications/Skills:

  • 5-9 years of professional experience in Interior Design
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Interior Design or related field
  • Strong design portfolio
  • Advanced AutoCAD and/or an alternative BIM platform skills
  • Advance knowledge of Photoshop and Sketchup
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent oral and written communication and skills
  • Proficient in iOS, Microsoft Office and/or G-Suite
  • Overall aptitude to learn new software
  • Ability to multitask on multiple projects at one time
  • Strong at meeting deadlines and is eager to grow with the company
  • Excellent attention to detail and highly organized
  • Confident, efficient and collaborative
