http://skepticcanary.com/2013/11/14/ The National Transportation Coordinator will provide transportation assistance for field and warehouse operations including LTL/TL scheduling, tracking, and delivery for all stakeholders. This position will provide direction and assistance to internal and external partners for 3PL freight. The National Transportation Coordinator will process freight, providing oversite and assistance to field and account stake holders. This position reports to the National Transportation Manager.

Key Job Responsibilities

Third Party Transportation Coordination

• Schedule LTL/TL request when necessary for Sub-Rental companies and field when required.

• Set up small parcel and Freight carrier login accounts for field representatives.

• Assist with transportation issues/concerns as well as be a point of contact for warehouse and field operations when transportation challenges arise.

• Assist in Tracking/Recording carrier delivery failures and damages.

• Assist Field Operations, Product Management, and Warehouse locations to file and resolve shipping claims that result from damages and delays in transit.

• Work as liaison between sub-rental providers, carrier, and field locations ensuring accurate deliveries.

• Support Field Operations, Product Management, Asset Planning, and Warehouse locations in resolving all freight transportation related requests and issues.

• Work closely with field operations to support order changes, special requests, and freight requirements.

• Provide back up for rush orders between carriers and field operations ensuring delivery is executed smoothly.

Transportation support

• Manage onboarding of users through various training tools and platforms. Monitor usage to ensure a high level of compliance.

• Maintain historical data on freight and small parcel for reporting purposes, and field financial questions on freight movement.

• Maintain guidelines for internal users of third-party freight facilitators.

• Assist with international shipments and documentation compliance, as well as implementation and control of Carnet shipments when applicable.

• Assist with Import and Export commercial invoice documentation for vendors and field operations.

• Maintain daily communication and reports with the National Transportation Manager showing market trends.

• Assist with logistics and warehousing related projects as needed.

Job Qualifications

• 1-3 years of transportation experience working within a transportation distribution network supporting the supply chain operations

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written, and presentation)

• Ability to prioritize work and work accurately under pressure of deadlines with frequent interruptions

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Internet Explorer

• Knowledge of basic DOT rules

• Basic knowledge of Haz-Mat rules

Work Environment

Warehouse

Work is performed at event venues as well as in a warehouse environment. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in a warehouse environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area. When in the Warehouse, work will be completed in an environment with exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members may use high-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
